Haluk Barbaros ORAL, MD Ph.D., is a Professor of Immunology and the director of the Department of Immunology at Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, Turkiye. Dr. Oral is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Bursa Uludag University, Turkiye. He became a specialist in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology at the Bursa Uludag University, and then, received his MSc and Ph.D. in Immunology from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, the University of London, UK. He has been a professor of Immunology at Bursa Uludag University since 2008. He has published over 90 papers in peer-reviewed journalsand various book chapters in the fields of microbiology and immunology. He is also on the editorial and reviewer boards of several scientific journals. He is president of the Turkish Society of Immunology. Professor Oral has been the vice dean of the Faculty
of Medicine, Bursa Uludag University since 2019.
The main research interests of Professor Oral comprise immune gene and cellular therapies for autoimmune diseases and cancer; investigation of new molecular targets in granulomatous infectious diseases; and, recently, exosomes in health and diseases.
